8 Tips for an Extraordinary Career Plan: Part 1

When thinking about what career path to follow, or contemplating a possible change of area, it is essential to draw up a career plan to minimise risks and improve results.

Check out 8 proven tips for drawing up an extraordinary career plan!

When we draw up a career plan, we need to think about the following topics:

Tip 1 - Am I passionate about what I do?

This is exactly the premise. When we love what we do, we dedicate ourselves completely to our activity. This doesn't mean that we won't have setbacks along the way, but by doing what we really love, even adversity will act as a driving force to achieve our goals. Tip 2 - What are my strengths and weaknesses in my profession?

Knowing how to identify your skills and also what your weaknesses are is fundamental to structuring your career path and development plan. For example, a salesperson who is working their way up to coordinator or manager must also invest in their leadership profile, as the position requires this skill.

Tip 3 - How can I define my goals?

With the above identifications, you'll already be able to design your career path. So, in order to become the professional you want to be, establish the positions and stages you need to go through. As I said in the post Dreams - The fuel for your professional success, your goal must be written down and visible so that you remember that every effort is fundamental to achieving your dream.

Tip 4 - How will my personal life be affected by this choice?

Knowing how much of your day you are willing to give up in order to become a successful professional or reach high positions is fundamental. With recognition come the responsibilities that the new position will bring and it will be up to you to decide whether this profession, or this hierarchical level, fits in with your professional and personal life.

It's very important to analyse this point to avoid future frustrations.
